I’m a 40-year-old Scorpio with a dry sense of humour, passionate about sport — especially darts, which I’ve loved since I was 13. I’ve played in clubs on and off for years and I organise Santa Visits Ponthir, a local tradition I’ve run for the last two years. Living in Ponthir, I’m committed to building a welcoming, family-friendly community where our academy can thrive and every player has a great time.

Sarah

Hello! I’m Sarah, one of the coaches at Raging Bullseye JDC. I jumped at the chance to support the academy after seeing Gav’s dedication to the community and its young people. With 20+ years in darts, I’ve captained teams, played mixed doubles and women’s leagues around Newport. I’m a trained nurse with first-aid certification, family-oriented with two children and two dogs, and I can’t wait to help our members grow in skill and confidence.

Jan Robbins

I’d like to introduce myself. My name is Jan Robbins, and I currently live in Griffithstown. I’m 62 years old and have been playing darts for nearly 40 years. The highlights of my career include representing Wales in World Cups and European Cups, most notably in 2007 in Holland, where I won the Individual World Cup title. I have also competed at the Lakeside World Championships, reaching the semi-finals.

Hi, I’m Holly, 38, and a proud mum to Lily. We share our home with six dogs and a cat! Since starting the academy, darts has become a huge part of our lives — we truly live and breathe it as a family. I’m a qualified teacher and love seeing the kids each week. The best part is the family we’ve built with our players and parents, and I can’t wait to see it grow. I also help with academy admin.
